Stories that my grandmother told me about my grandfather. He died when I was very young, but she always talked about him, which helped me catch a glimpse of who he was and how much she loved him.
I spent so much of my early years so concerned about living the life everyone else thought I should live. It is so freeing to rest in God. Walk his will. Say no when it's necessary. Say yes in obedience. Relationships are so much deeper and more real when we don't live seeking approval, but instead seeking to love well.
