608. The bittersweet joy/sadness of facing changes and the growing pains of new directions vs. the hope and excitement of the next step in the journey.
- the sadness when i reach the end of the book. i really do hate that, but it is because the gift of the story meant so much.
- the mixed emotions of the end of earthly life, which we have seen way too much these past few years it seems. sadness in the loss of seeing that person more here on earth and making memories with them, but the joy that comes from knowing their life eternally is just beginning.
- the release when the temporary end of a phase of life is reached. even though i struggle with change, sometimes there is relief when a season passes, even if it's hard. just knowing you're following God's plan gives comfort, and I'm trying to learn to rest in that.
- (like Jennifer) the end of a good book, especially one that is in a series
- the end of a road trip, I love getting home and being unpacked with laundry going within a hour's time
- the ending of someone battling illness is a gift (end of suffering, pain, saddness), if they are a believer and it is only the end here on earth and the beginning of eternity
