I love this one. We have gifts from around the world that are so special to us. They are one of my favorite things to decorate with because they have such meaning to us.
1. A Bolivian doll Beth gave us when she returned from a summer mission trip.
2. The carved New Testament Granny and Poppa brought back from Israel.
3. A boomarang from Todd's friend Jimmy brought back after visiting his native Australia.
Carved: I'm days behind and kept looking for other things to fit and these were the ones that kept sticking in my brain.
Soapstone figurines and an animal necklace each from Swaziland, and this verse almost uses the word "carved," and it's what I keep thinking of- Isaiah 49:16 "See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands..."
- my figure from Bonnie Jones that means friendship and I just realized I have not unpacked it - the word "FAMILY" that is in the living/family room - (this isn't really carved but it is made) my belly cast, it is so special to me, and makes me miss being pregnant so much and sad that I won't be able to birth any more. and a great visual of God who is the great physician
