Three gifts behind a door...

4 comments:

  1. 1. Behind the front door- heat and shelter from the cold rain

    2. Behind the bathroom door- indoor plumbing. Oh, I am so thankful for that.

    3. Behind the den door- laughter, talking, planning, disagreeing, dreaming, hoping...life together as a family.

  2. oi, I am so far behind on these. So here goes three that are hard and happen to be behind doors and took a bit of work in some form or another:

    1. Ash Wednesday service tonight behind the doors of a church that is not my own and thus took working up some courage, but an acquaintance was there leading worship and made it easier

    2. My dark, silent apartment behind my front door, which is simultaneously the hardest and best, most blessed gift. The work here involves self-discipline in all areas of zero accountability from media to cleaning to having quiet time.

    3. Behind the office door is some hard juggling as work gets added to my plate, but this is a gift because it's all stuff I enjoy at some level and know how to do, not to mention that I have a great, miracle-level, dream job when most of my peers don't.

  3. 1. My kitchen cabinet doors - they hide the chaos that is in my tiny kitchen. I just have to be careful opening them.

    2. My van doors - I spend so much time in that van. Sometimes enjoying the quiet. Sometimes the loudest part of my days. Lots of memories made and stories told here.

    3. Garage doors - I really appreciate them even more on these cold and rainy days.

  4. 1. front door - the sense of home, no matter where it is

    2. (I agree with Ronda) van door - it helps me to feel free

    3. back door - the kids come and go to the back yard, it is their freedom
