3 startling graces of God

6 comments:

  1. 1. That God loves me unconditionally. Amazing since I mess up so often and don't deserve it at all.

    2. Through every tough loss or difficult time in my life, God has used and continues to use His Word, His Spirit, His children to encourage me when I need it and don't expect it.

    3. I was able to get secret church tickets this morning when they sold out in minutes. That is a startling gift as well. :)

  2. Hi everyone. I am new so if you don't know me, I am Jenna and I go to church with most of the names I see here. :)

    1. A message from an old friend that challenges and calls out Truth.
    2. A message from a relatively new friend with encouragement and wisdom.
    3. Revelation that though darkness lasts for the long night, His mercies are new in the morning, and perhaps a new dawn will come, after all.

  3. 1. The bright green grass I saw today on Thompson Road. It struck me how bright spots can be visible even in dreary, hard storms. Everything else was drab shades of gray and brown, but that one place was alive with color. His grace allows that in the hard times of life, vibrant hope.

    2. I am God's friend. He loves me jealously. That's more than a little overwhelming and completely undeserved.

    3. Thankful for the ways God is opening my eyes more and more to the truth of how real, potent, and powerful prayer is. When I get to stand in the gap for someone, it's not just because I can't do anything else. It reminds "the doer" in me that apart from Him, I can't do anything.

1 - still amazed at His great gift of salvation daily, when i know my sinful self so well
2 - how this new habit of purposely being thankful can change an entire month so far, by "thinking on things above"
3 - how His mercy is new every morning, even when evenings can feel overwhelming with pain, grief, weariness, etc.
